Goodbye, Friend...
Good luck in the Bode' Briggs! We shall miss you! It is awesome people like you who remind us how small we are and how helping people be better makes us human. xo http://ewbnycambodia.blogspot.com/

Pollenation Station
Our backyard was attacked by butters and bees this weekend! I am sure my nature lovin' Brooklyn neighbors bah-fung-gued me whilst I was investigating my little flighty friends. I didn't capture this part, but this GIANT, and I mean fuggin'-yugeah (mobster speak for fucking huge) wasp was following me around. I looked pretty awesome ducking and diving from its Kamikaze attacks...until... the shovel came out. Yep, I tried to kill the beast with a shovel, but was too scared to hit it for fear that I might not kill it on the first try and it would come back mad as a hatter. So, here I am taking pretty little pictures of god's creations and swinging a shovel madly in the air screaming for it to "just land asshole, so I can kill you!". It never landed and I am sure it is back there plotting its' revenge.

Pokin' Hoes

The east coast provides a great many things. Among them, the ability to get to other cities fairly quickly. 2 hours to Philly, 4 to Boston, 2 to Connecticut and.......1.5 to the Poconos where we "summered" this last weekend. Truckin' down there in a early 90's Toyota min-van (thanks Trudy's ma and pa), we rocked out , we pit stopped, and talked of the giddy fun the weekend would bring. We stopped off for a quick tube float down the Delaware River...yes the same river where Washington claimed victory! Victory, I say! Such grand fun we did have. There were waterfalls to go down, a near drowning experience by yours truly (which encouraged more laughing than screams of terror from byfloaters), and hot dog eating in the river. On to the house, we BBQ'd, Catched Phrased, and beer guzzled our way through the weekend. But not with out Appalachian Trail hiking, forest walking and front yard swimming. To top it off like a maraschino cherry, the day we were leaving, a mama deer and her twin babies came up to the lawn and let us feed them Ritz crackers! Awww....so cute. I was freaking out with excitement while everyone else was yelling at me to stop feeding them. Enjoy the pictures!

ahhh...another roadside point of interest
We embarked on a road trip through the wild wild (mid) west this last week. I used to make this same 10 hour trip from Colorado to Nebraska every year as a kid to see my family. On the way, you pass many astonishing sights - like the Goat Bridge or the Genoa, Colorado 6 States Viewing Tower and Museum! I aksed myself how could I have forgotten about this crazy little place called Genoa, Colorado (last time I visited was 1990-ish)?!?! All that exists is a crazy little museum with crazy little wonders to behold. This crazy little old man has owned this crazy little place, built in the early 1900's, for 40 years and has just basically been collecting stuff of little or no value ever since and cramming them into every knook and cranny of this place, including nailing things to the ceiling. I mean this place is FILLED TO THE BRIM with awesomely crappy shit. Like, the two headed calf, or his collection of old meat griders, or maybe you would take to the broken down cars out front filled with old bottles. It costs $1 to walk through the museum and up to the viewing tower (tip: if you can guess what 10 randomly selected objects are, you can earn your $1 back) Jerry is the owners name and he follows you around the museum trying to get you to guess what each oddity is. It is claimed that you can see 6 states from the top (tip: there are dummies strapped to the railings...don't be fooled...they are not real). If you are ever out in NE Colorado...this is a must see. PS everything in the museum is for sale.
